Staffing that behaves like it matters
A licensed Ontario temporary help agency in Vaughan, supplying warehouse, light industrial, general labour and skilled crews across the Greater Toronto Area.
Otium Talent Corp supplies temporary and contract staff to warehouses, distribution centres, manufacturers and construction sites across the Greater Toronto Area. General labour and warehouse crews are the core of the business, alongside forklift operators, production and assembly staff, site labourers and the office people who keep a busy operation moving.
We are deliberately small, and that is a decision rather than a stage. The person who answers your call is the person accountable for the crew standing on your floor. There is no account manager layer to escalate through, no ticket queue, and no larger client whose problem outranks yours at six in the morning when somebody has not turned up.
What that means in practice is a shorter distance between a problem and the person who can fix it. If we cannot fill a shift, you hear it that afternoon rather than discovering it at the start of the next one. If a worker is not right for your site, we replace them rather than defend the placement. And every worker we send has had their entitlement to work in Canada verified and recorded before they arrive, because an agency that treats that as paperwork is an agency that will eventually hand its client a problem.
We are the employer of record for everyone we place. Payroll, source deductions, WSIB premiums, T4s and Records of Employment sit with us. You approve the hours and receive one invoice, broken out by position and hour type so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
The work we staff
General labour and warehouse crews are the core of it. Around that sit the skilled and licensed roles a site needs to keep running, and the office people who keep the paperwork moving.
Warehouse and logistics
Pickers, packers, loaders, shippers and receivers, counterbalance and reach forklift operators, order selectors and general warehouse help. Day, afternoon and night shifts, single days through to long-term placements.
Light industrial and manufacturing
Production and assembly line staff, machine operators, quality inspectors, packaging and palletising crews, sanitation. Food-grade sites included, where the hygiene requirements are part of the brief rather than a surprise.
General labour and construction help
Site labourers, cleanup crews, movers, landscaping help and builders' hands. Labour rather than licensed trades, and we say so plainly rather than sending a general labourer to do an electrician's job.
Skilled and certified
Where a role needs a licence, a certificate or a ticket, we check it and hold the evidence. Forklift certification, WHMIS, working at heights. We will show a client what we verified and when.
Office and administration
Shipping and receiving clerks, dispatch, data entry, inventory and reception cover. Usually short-term: a leave, a peak, or a vacancy you are still recruiting for permanently.
Short-notice and peak cover
A truck arriving tomorrow, three people off sick, a seasonal run. We would rather tell you at 4pm that we can find two of the four than promise four and send two.
What a client is actually buying
A temporary help agency is an employer, not an introduction service. That distinction is where most of the risk sits, so it is worth being explicit about who carries what.
We are the employer of record
Payroll, source deductions, WSIB premiums, T4s and Records of Employment sit with Otium Talent Corp, not with you. You approve hours and receive one invoice. Nobody joins your payroll, and nobody becomes your termination liability.
Licensed under Ontario law
Ontario has required temporary help agencies to hold a licence since 2024, and a business that engages an unlicensed agency is exposed alongside it - not merely embarrassed. We hold a licence and will send the number and our WSIB clearance certificate in writing before anyone starts. Ask any agency you use for the same.
Right to work, checked before shift one
Every worker's entitlement to work in Canada is verified and recorded before they set foot on a site. Documents are collected after an offer rather than before, because immigration status is a protected ground under the Ontario Human Rights Code and asking early is how an agency ends up screening on it.
One accountable person
The person who answers the phone is the person answerable for the crew on your floor. No account manager layer, no ticket queue, and no larger client whose problem outranks yours at 6am on a Monday.
Across the Greater Toronto Area
We are based in Vaughan and staff sites throughout the GTA and the surrounding regions.
Vaughan, Concord, Woodbridge, Maple, Brampton, Mississauga, Etobicoke, North York, Scarborough, Toronto, Markham, Richmond Hill, Newmarket, Aurora, Bolton, Caledon, Milton, Oakville, Burlington, Pickering, Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa.
We are honest about range. If a site is too far for our people to reach reliably for a 6am start, we will say so rather than send someone who will not last the week - because a crew that stops turning up on day three costs you more than the vacancy did.
Why Otium
Otium is the Latin word for the rest that is earned once the work is properly done - the ease on the other side of the effort, not instead of it. It is an unusual thing to name a labour company after, and that is the point. Staffing done properly is what lets an operations manager stop thinking about staffing.
